Eh,

I wasn't really sure what to do about this, but I just wanted to put up a post in hopes that the girl I was just talking to would see this. Valdosta loli, I totally accidentally deleted your last message when I was trying to clear out all of my egl comm sales messages. I then realized that I hadn't even remembered to add you to my friends and don't exactly remember your username so now I have no way of contacting you. If you happen to see this, please respond! =(  I'm sorry about accidentally deleting your message.

So, first came the discovery of the dolls and then the website, the cartoon shorts, and most recently, the music video. I came to one fatal discovery: It's terribly cheesy and I love it so so much. D=  Why?

Something about the mix of monsters, large feet, awesome clothes and silly high school issues is really amusing to me. No idea why.

Doesn't help that the dolls are awesome, the animation is cute and the song is stupid catchy. It's not fair. >_<  It's hard to have 'good taste' when 'bad taste' is so fun.

I got away from barbie and passed up bratz, snagged on myscene, and was totally caught by monster high. What can I say? Freaky just got fabulous.

(please never remind me that I said that)

Hello there. My name is Akane1313 and I'm posting my first entry on Livejournal. It's sort of unfortunate since I joined a good long while ago, but oh well.

I have a lot of things I like, but one that lately has come up above all of them (even anime, omg!) is the lolita fashion and lifestyle. A lot of people look at it and ask, "why?", but isn't a better question "why not"? After all, something based around being lovely and elegant 24/7.  Who wouldn't want that? Many people look at lolita fashion (and other things as well like anime) and think that it's silly or childish. But it's really not. Too many people are concerned with looking adult and doing things that are commonly seen as being adult so that they can be assured that everyone else sees them as an adult. But many adults are very childish. Unforgiving, self centered, prideful, rude, mean. These are certainly childish traits and people are supposed to grow out of them. Still, there are so many adults who have problems with this every day and, worse still, they don't seem to see a problem with it. Lolita is based around dressing beautiful and acting that way as well. Even sweet lolita at its most childish still uses manners more mature than people dressed at their most "adult". I find it odd that many people don't know the difference between childish and childlike. One carries a negative connotation, the other doesn't. Childlike takes on the best aspects of being a child. The ones no one ever really wants to grow out of. Innocence and a sense of wonder at the world around you. Childish takes on the worst. People grow out of being childlike because they're told it's childish. And they continue to be childish because it's "too hard" to change
. Is taking the easy way out an adult trait too? The model lolita is actually far more adult than the average adult could hope to be. Go figure.
